I have one year left in high school. The winters where I live are notably cooler than in the city. Sometimes, the weather turns so dense that the surroundings become a blurred haze. On such days, I eagerly await the sight of that distant candlelight, which has become a comforting friend during my late-night studies.

As the final exams approach, my curiosity about the person behind the candlelight grows. It's a challenging pursuit, given that I don’t have any friends on my street or in my ward.

One crisp morning, a red sweater catches my eye, hanging near the source of the candlelight. The unisex hoodie offers a subtle hint, a potential clue to unravel the mystery. A flurry of thoughts occupies my mind. What if the owner of that candlelight is in the same grade as me? Once the exams are over, there's a chance I might never see that familiar glow again.

As much as I look forward to completing my final high school exams, a part of me dreads the possibility of losing that nightly beacon, a symbol of shared diligence and quiet companionship.
