With only a week left until our final high school exams, the pressure mounted. I poured even more energy into my studies, my days punctuated with surges of excitement and curiosity.

Each night, the glow of the distant candlelight seemed more intense, suggesting that its owner might also be preparing for the same exams. My intrigue deepened, but I had to suppress it. Right now, the exams were my foremost priority.

The weight of my parents' expectations bore heavily on me. Being their only child, their hopes and dreams were interwoven with my own success. Every moment I spent preparing was not just for my future, but also a testament to the faith they had in me.
